Ex Libris is Latin for "From the library of..."  The first bookplate date back to 15th century Germany and were used to identify who a book belonged to.  People would use a symbol or family crest along with the term "Ex Libris" and their name.  The symbols they used were representative of their interests, personalities, and passions.  If you choose the self-inking option, this lovely book plate will stamp over 10,000 books before needing a refill and available ink colors for self-inking are: black and red. The stamp imprint measures approximately 1 x 2 inches and would make a great gift for any book lover.

The self-inking stamp will stamp thousands of impressions before needing to be refilled - that's a pretty impressive library! Yes, I can get you refills when needed. :-)

Or select the wood-mounted option and stamp until your heart's content in any ink color you wish! This listing does not come with an ink pad and if you choose the wood mounted option you will need one.
